Furthermore Academy Junior Football Club offers trips abroad to play in places such as Berlin (2009), Barcelona (2010) and Amsterdam (2011). They have played against the likes of, FC Union Berlin, RC Espanyol and KNVB development teams; all these trips have been a great success for both adults and children alike.

At Academy Juniors Football Club we have a dedicated sports science team including fitness coach, match video analyst and physio, as well as providing community coaching in schools around Bolton and having strong ties with both Bolton Sixth Form College and Bolton University.

Our summer training sessions take place between April and September on a Wednesday and Friday evening between 6.00pm – 9.00 pm at St John the Evangelist Primary School in Bromley Cross. Between September and March we train on the astro turf at Canon Slade School. The club is so popular players come from as far away as Rochdale, Middleton and Winsford – anyone is welcome, not just people from Bolton. Academy Juniors is always looking for people to join, there is no limit on the number of members and we accept anyone, regardless of their ability. The girls play with other players of similar standards and with our high level of training on offer they improve rapidly.

The highest ability girls play in the West Lancashire League with the likes of Manchester City, Preston North End and Wigan and the less experienced girls play in the North Valley League against local opposition.

All our members get an Adidas match kit, training kit and hoody in order to make the club as professional as possible.
